Summer Ain't No Chillin Time!

Hello Fellow Farbrengers!

So school is over and there's no more formal learning ... and it's suddenly gotten quiet around here.
Really quiet. Way way too quiet.
So besides for the fact that i really miss you guys and hearing from you and all that ;) i think a dying out farbrengen just can't be a good thing...
so if your excuse is no computer access... well that's something we can't help - but anything else, like you have nothing to say or anything like that... here's my say.

Friends, a farbrengen does not have to be full of deep inspiring stories and sichos... (even though that's nice too...) - it's about sharing your thoughts! Your simple, ordinary, every day thoughts that might be worth sharing... about Moshiach which we're always thinking about, about the day camp - shlichus we're working at now, about anything... just share! We need to keep ourselves and each other inspired... even during the summer and probably especially now!

So i'm guess i'm start... i'm just gonna share something that's really helped me change my outlook recently.

See, I was feeling the summer coming on, and after the super-intense year I've had, I felt really weird just chilling out like that. Cuz as long as I was working, I knew I was growing, and I was doing my best to bring Moshiach cuz i simply didn't have time or energy to do any more!

But I can't really say that anymore now that vacation's come along (specially with me here in the city...) so i thought about it and discussed it a lil with the mashpia :)... and it came down to that daily cheshbon nefesh. It's about keeping track of what you did every day, what was wrong and what was right, and making sure that the next day would be better.

and if it was a day that you were really pretty straight, and you think you pretty much did what you should have... think a lil deeper, to how you did it. did you do it like a chossid should? like everything - as Musha once shared with me, the Rebbe said the way to bring Moshiach is through being a pnimi - that everything you do should be done fully all the way through, with your machshava, dibbur and maaseh.

when you put it that way... there's always room to improve! (and i can't right this minute think of appropriate examples for the stage in life now, since i myself haven't started camp yet... so guys... why don't you help out? i.e. how to make it practical!)

so let's keep growing! take out those daily cheshbon nefesh cards, and once you check it off, look back at not only what you did, but how you did it. good luck!

AND THE BOTTOM LINE IS OF COURSE...
MOSHIACH NOW!
It's up to US!!!
