Kamtza and Bar-Kamtza
Did you ever wonder why it says the names of Kamtza and Bar-Kamtza when it doesn't even say the name of the person who made the banquet and threw Bar-Kamtza out? To tell the truth, I didn't, but I was listening to a class from Rabbi Nissen Mangel A"H on Chabad.org (Here's the link: http://www.chabad.org/multimedia/media_cdo/aid/297251/jewish/The-Story-and-History-of-Tisha-BAv-Part-1.htm it's part 1 of 3) and he started off with this. I thought it was pretty interesting, and it's a teaser for the rest of the class. Kamtza means two things, 1) separation - at the time of the churban, all the people behaved like they were separated, there was no unity 2) locust - at that time, the people behaved like locusts, every man for himself. There's a lot more of the class, and I'm going to go back to listening to it now. But if you're looking for something to do on Tisha B'Av, it's a good thing to listen to.

P.S. the times are wrong - I did NOT write this while it was still shabbos, I wrote this at exactly 12:00 AM. (While sitting on the floor, which makes it kinda hard to type on a keyboard that's a foot and a half above me)
thanks, that was really interesting, i never knew that...
