Pesach Sheni - It's never too late. Let's connect to the Rebbe!!

Forget about us hakking an emes - listen to what the Rebbe has to say about Hiskashrus today.

aaah! it's incredible. all the things people farbreng about in the Rebbe's words. It's all about me and you this one, its great! i like it!

שיחת פסח שני תשי"א

Hei: The Rebbe is telling us that there is a lesson we can learn about Hiskashrus, specifically for then (3 months after Yud Shvat) and guarantees us that we have the koach to fulfill it. The Hiskashrus that people had until now came from their being by the Rebbe many times, a few times, once, just getting a letter - or like us, learning the Rebbe’s sichos and mamarim should remain in its full strength and has no reason to be weakened.

(Here the Rebbe cried) We are not left to fend for ourselves. Chassidus accomplished that Chassidim are never alone and the Rebbe is never alone, which means that every single thing we do we are taking the Rebbe with us. This translates to mean that the Rebbe watches and takes into account every detail of a Chossid’s life. The Rebbe then says that this applies now on a greater level than before. The Rebbe is watching our every move. And because the Rebbe is with us and watching us we have the added power to continue doing what the Rebbe wants. Not only can we continue we have to, the whole reason for the Helem (that came with Yud Shvat) is to bring about a Gilui, added involvement in the Rebbe’s inyanim.

Vav: During the Holocaust, the Friediker Rebbe urged people to plead to Hashem and to do everything they could to help the Jews in Europe. In response, a great philosopher asked the Rebbe that if the entire purpose of creation is for the Jewish Nation, how is it possible that Hashem let a Rasha, Yemach Shemo destroy the yidden, and specifically the elite of Bn”y? The Rebbe answered that when you want to hurt someone good and well you slap them in the face. To explain this, the Rebbe relayed how when the Friediker Rebbe was in school, he would be punished on the account of another’s misbehavior, even if he didn’t do anything. This would cause the students to realize that if the Rebbe didn’t do anything and……. they better shape up.

The Rebbe then said: The slap in the face that we are experiencing now should be felt in our entire being and cause us to intensify our involvement in what the Rebbe wants.

Zayin: Pesach Sheini is the whole idea of it is never too late. People who didn’t bring the Korban Pesach because they were impure or too far or even those who deliberately for no good reason decided to ditch, were able to have another chance. The same thing is with Hiskashrus. Those who didn’t see the Rebbe because they couldn’t (like us) and even those who think they were by the Rebbe and really didn’t because if you were by the Rebbe and it didn’t affect you then in truth, you were never by the Rebbe, all of them have hope, it is never too late. We have hope, and we have the power, the fact that Chassidim are never alone and the Rebbe is still with us gives us the koach of the Rebbe to have Hiskashrus, and be able to feel and recognize the connection.

Ches: How? The Rebbe tells us direct instructions, look at a picture of the Rebbe. People who had Yechidus should picture the Rebbe how he looked then, and those who didn’t, should picture the Rebbe by looking at a picture. Looking at a picture of the Rebbe is more powerful than learning his sichos and maamarim, because you cannot compare hearing to seeing. Looking and thinking about the Rebbe picture should arouse in us a feeling and recognition of Hiskashrus, even if we didn’t feel it till now.

Tes: If someone went to Yechidus and didn’t feel anything, how is it possible that he can look at a picture and all of a sudden feel? It is quoted in a maamer razal that a person doesn’t understand his teacher till after 40 years. This doesn’t mean that only after 40 years can he go and learn it so that it will penetrate, but that being that it was taught 40 years ago what was learned can now penetrate even if until now and at the time you learned it, it didn’t. The same is with Hiskashrus to the Rebbe, being that it is now 40 years since the n’sius started even if it didn’t penetrate till now and we didn’t feel, it can and will happen now through looking at a Rebbe picture.

Whether or not we have the feeling and emotions, we have to just do what we need to. But we won’t be left empty handed. It is a sure fact that the Rebbe’s intention will come to fruition and we will feel, but we need to do our part and put effort into doing the things the Rebbe wants us to do - and then we are guaranteed that we will feel. We will all feel and sense Hiskashrus to the Rebbe.
