hey rivky, thanx so much for that post!
it takeh does sound familiar... slight memory lapse.. where did we hear it???
Happens to be i think this lesson is super-relevant... take chof ches nissan for instance. every year we have all these farbrengens and speeches about how it's up to us, and we have to do it, lalala.
usually this is one of those days where it seems everyone is like all inspired, ticked off and really wants to bring moshiach. people are gonna start screaming ad mosai, saying enough is enough, and expect moshiach to come right then and there.
Honestly, i feel like that's almost like telling Hashem, like "hello, i've kinda been sleeping for a while now, but i'm awake for a few minutes and it's takeh true that we need moshiach... so send him now, k?" i mean, ad mosai is important and all and i don't mean to minimize that chas vesholom, but what the Rebbe was asking us for was not just that! the point is not to beg Hashem for Moshiach for those few minutes or hours or whatever that you're inspired... it's got to come to action! and it's has to last!
I know it's a few weeks after chof ches, but it's never too late... so do something now! for real!
p.s. that inyonei moshiach ugeula thing in school... might be a good start. it's just 10 minutes or less out of your day, it's quick, easy, and prepared for you, and as the Rebbe says, it's the Derech Hayeshara to bring Moshiach!
Hope to see you there! Like tomorrow!!!!

lol
and that was gonna be a comment on rivky's post...
gets to a point it's filling the box once and twice and still overflowing...come to the conclusion...time for a new post!
It's such a true point! We seriously have to wake ourselves up!!!
like today, the goal i got in school was to say Ad Mosai 10x with 3 people. And I did...but I kinda missed the point I think. I did do it, which counts for something I guess, but after that I just walked away as if we don't still need to be doing something; Still screaming Ad Mosai, not necessarily through only words, like Chaya Mushka said, but through Action!
p.s. I really love the Inyonei thing for just that reason Chaya Mushka! Yashar Koach!!! :)
Shayna. i totally agree. i got the same paper as you adn when we got it and i was screaming ad masai. i felt like i was doing it like the rebbe says, literally, mipnei hatzivui, cuz i was told to do it.
